Brazil launches nationwide operation against child sexual abuse

The Federal Police, in coordination with Civil Police from 20 states, launched Operation Nacional Proteção Integral V to combat child sexual abuse. The nationwide operation targeted the production, storage, sharing, and commercialization of child sexual abuse material across all 27 Brazilian federative units.

During the operation, authorities executed 153 search and seizure warrants and carried out 37 in flagrante arrests and 13 preventive arrest warrants. The actions resulted in the rescue of two victims and the seizure of three minors in risk situations. The coordinated effort involved 755 police officers, including 480 federal and 275 civil agents.
