Brazil Federal Police launch Operation Amparo against online child sexual abuse in Manaus

A search and seizure warrant and a preventive detention order were executed at the residence of a suspect linked to the distribution and storage of illegal sexual material involving minors. The investigation stemmed from reports by the U.S. National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that identified activity tied to social‑media accounts. Authorities found evidence suggesting the suspect acquired and stored illicit images and videos between 2018 and 2026.
