Brazil fintech UNI FY to pilot Pix Consignado; CVM proposes DLT tokenization

Fintech UNI FY will launch a pilot program for 'Pix Consignado' on October 2, 2026. The digital solution aims to integrate payroll margins, payroll systems, and instant payments, allowing public servants to access available credit margins through an app without needing a new contract for every transaction. The launch comes amid high interest rates in Brazil, with the Central Bank reporting average interest rates for individual credit at 63% per year as of April 2026.

Separately, the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) has finalized a proposal for a pilot program to test the tokenization of securities. Using Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), the program will test the full lifecycle of securities operations, including issuance, distribution, trading, and settlement for assets such as stocks, debentures, and investment fund quotas. The initiative seeks to evaluate the technical and legal viability of DLT in the capital markets.
