Brazil to Face Australia Twice and India in September‑October 2026 Friendlies

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed three international friendlies for the first FIFA window after the 2026 World Cup. Brazil will meet Australia on 25 September 2026 in Townsville and again on 29 September 2026 in Brisbane. The team will then travel to India for its first ever match on Indian soil, playing India on 3 October 2026 at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.

Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, whose contract with the CBF has been extended through 2030, said the matches will launch a new cycle for the Seleção, allowing him to test young players ahead of the Copa América 2028 and the 2030 World Cup. A preliminary squad list must be submitted to FIFA by 6 September 2026. In addition, the CBF is close to confirming Brazil's participation in a November tournament in Singapore, organized by the Japanese Football Association and expected to include Japan, Paraguay and the host nation.
