Brazil government updates SEI system and appoints 159 new civil servants

The Ministry of Communications announced a technical update to the Electronic Information System (SEI/MCom) that corrects the linkage of external users to their CPF/CNPJ records in the Federal Revenue database, enabling smoother access for authorized individuals to submit petitions, view processes and sign documents.

The Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services published two portarias authorizing the appointment of 118 analysts in information technology and 41 analysts in social policy, totalling 159 hires from the 2024 National Unified Public Competition (CPNU 1). Appointments depend on available vacancies and budgetary allocations under the annual budget law.
