Brazil Prepares Regulatory Framework for 2027 Women’s World Cup in Miami Meeting
Brazil’s Sports Minister Paulo Henrique Cordeiro presented the full regulatory framework for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup to FIFA President Gianni Infantino in Miami on Friday. The framework, sanctioned by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Tuesday, confirms eight Brazilian host cities – Rio de Janeiro (Maracanã), Salvador (Arena Fonte Nova), São Paulo (Neo Química Arena), Belo Horizonte (Mineirão), Brasília (Arena Mané Garrincha), Fortaleza (Arena Castelão), Porto Alegre (Beira‑Rio) and Recife (Arena de Pernambuco) – and guarantees legal certainty, organization and excellence for the tournament.
The minister said, “O Brasil está cumprindo todos os compromissos assumidos desde a candidatura.” Infantino added, “Teremos um impacto mundial incrível, que vai mudar o esporte feminino, porque será no Brasil.” The tournament will run from 24 June to 25 July 2027, with ten other nations already qualified and several more vying for the remaining spots.
The agreement signals strong cooperation between Brazil and FIFA and aims to deliver a globally significant sporting event.
