Brazil hosts dance festivals in Brasília and Joinville

The Conexão Arte project brought together dance schools for a two‑day festival in Brasília on 7–8 August. Performances by the Escola Shirley Santos, Escola Meia Sete Oito and the Escola de Formação de Bailarinos do Distrito Federal were staged at the Teatro Nacional, showcasing a range of techniques and creative choreography.

The Escola Municipal de Artes de Taboão da Serra took part in the 46th Festival de Dança de Joinville in Santa Catarina from 20–22 July. Its groups presented pieces such as “Chamas de Paris”, “Amigas de Clara” and “Rosas do Sertão”, featuring children, teenagers and a 40‑plus ensemble, emphasizing inclusion and community engagement in dance.
