Brazil hosts free outdoor cinema events and a 10‑year film festival

The Curta Canedo festival in Senador Canedo, Goiás, will celebrate its 10th edition from 21 to 26 September 2026 with free screenings, competitive and invited film sections, workshops on documentary making, mobile filmmaking and cultural project development, and activities aimed at inclusion, racial equality and Indigenous representation. The program also features an independent children’s segment, a short‑film showcase and free sessions for the public in peripheral neighborhoods.

In Rio das Ostras, Enel Rio sponsors a two‑day outdoor cinema event, “Cinema Enel Mais Perto de Você,” on 11–12 July 2026 at Praça São Pedro. The free weekend includes family‑friendly screenings of feature films and locally produced shorts, recreational activities, environmental education and a lamp‑exchange service offering up to five LED bulbs per household. The initiative also provides a mobile service desk for electricity customers.
