Brazil hosts major audiovisual industry events to boost film sector

Brazil is hosting significant audiovisual industry events aimed at professional development and market integration. EXPOCINE 2026, a major Latin American film convention, is expanding its focus on the new generation of talent. The event includes the ‘Decupa’ program in São Paulo, which offers immersive training in various production stages, such as directing, cinematography, sound design, and editing.

In Recife, the first edition of Estuário Mercado de Cinema will take place from October 28 to November 6. This initiative seeks to connect Northeastern Brazilian audiovisual projects with national and international market agents. The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Ancine, which has allocated R$ 298.2 million to boost productions in the North, Center-West, and Northeast regions as part of a strategic decentralization of capital.
