Brazil Schedules Series of Running and Triathlon Events for Mid‑2026

The municipality of Arataca in Bahia opened registrations for the 2nd Corrida Rústica Serra das Lontras, to be held on 6 September 2026. The event offers 5 km and 10 km races, a 3 km walk and a kids’ run, and aims to showcase the region’s Atlantic‑forest scenery.

The Metrópoles Endurance competition will take place in Brasília on 25‑26 July 2026 at the Pontão do Lago Sul. The programme includes Aquathlon Super Sprint, Aquathlon Standard, a 3 km Maratona Aquática, and triathlon Sprint and Standard races, with prize money ranging from R$1,000 to R$10,000.

Guará’s Distrito Federal hosted the final stage of the 2026 Cross Urbano CAIXA on 19 July 2026. The 7 km circuit combined trail and asphalt sections, featured ten age‑group categories, and concluded the series that ran alongside the FIFA World Cup schedule.

Japeri will hold its first Circuit Japeri × Queimados on 23 August 2026. The event includes a 5 km run and a 3 km walk, requires participants to purchase a kit for entry, and offers cash prizes for the top five finishers in each gender category.

The Cocatrel Run celebrated the 65th anniversary of the cooperative, adding another notable race to Brazil’s mid‑year sporting calendar.
