Brazil hosts two major art exhibitions: Ayrson Heráclito in São Paulo and Antonio Tramarin in Maringá

The Simões de Assis gallery in São Paulo opened the solo exhibition Ojú‑Inú by artist Ayrson Heráclito on 8 August. The show, running until 12 September, features around 30 works—including sculptures, watercolors, photographs and video—that explore Afro‑Brazilian cosmology and Candomblé rituals.

From 10 to 28 August, the Biblioteca Central Maria Grazia Zolet at the Universidade Estadual de Maringá will host Marcas, Tempo e Impressões, a solo exhibition of painter Antonio Tramarin. Curated by artist‑researcher Fernando Leão, the exhibition presents works that reorganise fragments and organic structures to comment on memory, social inequality, environmental preservation and other contemporary issues.
