Brazil implements new National Education Plan and Rondônia candidate signs education pact
Brazil has approved the new National Education Plan (PNE) for the 2026-2036 decade under Law No. 15.388. The plan, developed through dialogue between the Ministry of Education and civil society, includes 19 objectives, with specific focus on youth, adult, and elderly education (EJA).
In Rondônia, gubernatorial candidate Pedro Abib signed the ‘Pacto pela Educação’ at the state Legislative Assembly. His proposed administration for 2027-2030 focuses on infrastructure, teacher professional development based on Saero results, and pedagogical tutoring to address learning gaps in elementary and high school students.
