Brazil economy shows growth in investments, wellness, and e-commerce
Brazil is experiencing significant growth across several economic sectors. Individual investments reached R$ 9.141 trillion in the first half of 2026, a 6.4% increase from late 2025. According to Anbima, fixed income led this expansion, accounting for 65% of the market's absolute growth, driven by high interest rates.
The wellness economy in Brazil has reached US$ 125.4 billion, ranking the country 11th globally among 145 markets. This trend is fueling sustainable tourism and real estate projects, such as the Amazon Parques & Resorts complex in Santa Catarina.
In the retail and services sectors, e-commerce revenue is projected to reach R$ 258.9 billion this year, up 9.9% from 2025. This growth has increased the importance of logistics and risk management to combat cargo theft. Meanwhile, the franchise sector reported a turnover of R$ 149 billion in the first half of 2026, with growth in cleaning, health, and wellness services.
Additionally, corporate travel reached a record R$ 102 billion in the first half of 2026, a 5.8% increase compared to the previous year. International tourism also remains a vital economic driver, with foreign visitors spending US$ 6.543 billion between January and July 2026.
