Brazil industry sectors focus on professional training and workforce development

The construction, mining, and infrastructure sectors in Brazil are focusing on bridging the gap between academic knowledge and market reality through specialized professional training initiatives.

At the upcoming ARENA M&T 2026, scheduled for October 21–23 in Fazenda Rio Grande, Messe Muenchen do Brasil is facilitating connections between students and the industry. Participating educational institutions, including SENAI, IEL Paraná, UNIFACEAR, and Unisinos, will offer career development opportunities and showcase technological applications in machinery and equipment.

In response to the shortage of qualified labor in civil construction, the company Plano&Plano has implemented an internal Engineering School. For over a decade, this program has trained approximately 500 professionals, offering a development track that moves from internships to management roles such as site managers and directors. This internal training model aims to support the company's expanding operations, which include nearly 70 construction sites and over 45,000 housing units currently under development.
