Brazilian influencers Viih Tube and Eliezer pay R$350 k to end abusive reality show

The Ministry of Labor (Ministério Público do Trabalho) concluded a Term of Adjusted Conduct with digital influencers Viih Tube and Eliezer after their reality programme “As Patroas” exposed eleven domestic workers to humiliating challenges, including searching for plastic coins inside toilets and trash cans. Under the agreement, the couple must pay R$350,000 in collective moral damages, which will be deposited in the Fundo de Defesa dos Direitos Difusos, and remove all programme content from digital platforms within 48 hours.

The TAC also bans the pair from producing or sharing any material that subjects domestic workers to degrading situations, even with consent. They are required to publish three educational videos on social‑media about domestic workers’ rights. Violations would trigger fines of R$50,000 per breached clause and R$5,000 per affected worker.
