Brazil initiatives target leadership gaps for Black women
Various programs in Brazil are working to increase the representation of Black women in professional and leadership roles. The Impulsione Pretas 2026 initiative offers free career training, including mentorship, resume optimization, and interview preparation, to promote professional autonomy and market insertion.
In the public sector, the National School of Public Administration (Enap) has developed the Formação e Iniciativas Antirracistas (FIAR) and Formação e Iniciativas Feministas (FIF) programs. These initiatives aim to address the fact that, in 2023, Black women occupied less than 10% of high-level leadership positions within the federal government. By training civil servants and fostering leadership development, these programs seek to ensure that public policy implementation better reflects the country's demographic diversity.
