Brazil insurers Novo Seguros and Omint launch digital payment and travel‑insurance upgrades
Novo Seguros introduced a new digital payment flow that sends policyholders a WhatsApp link after purchase, letting them choose Pix, credit, debit or boleto for premium payment. The system automates reconciliation and reduces manual processing, a change the company attributes to the Open Finance regulatory framework. Allan Amancio dos Reis, the firm’s CFO, said the friction in premium payment had become a barrier to scaling quality service.
Omint announced a refreshed travel‑insurance offering aimed at modern travelers. The portfolio now covers sports activities, raises the maximum insured amount to US$500,000 and simplifies medical‑expense coverage. The multiviagem product is extended to people up to 80 years old and trips of up to 60 consecutive days, adding benefits such as flight‑delay compensation and coverage for pregnant travelers. Anna Angotti, Omint’s manager of life and travel insurance, said the goal is to provide more complete protection for a market that mixes leisure, business and sport.
