Brazil investigation links illegal funds to Bolsonaro biopic
Federal Police in Brazil have concluded that funds used to finance the film ‘Dark Horse’—a biopic of former President Jair Bolsonaro—originated from a company linked to the Master Bank fraud. According to an investigation, resources sent to the United States by Daniel Vorcaro were funneled through companies connected to Fabiano Zettel to mask their illicit origin.
The investigation highlights a sequence of transactions where R$ 12 million was moved through Entre Investimentos just before a US$ 2 million transfer to the Havengate fund. This contradicts claims by Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, a presidential candidate, that the R$ 134 million involved in dealings with the former banker were private and legitimate funds.
Separately, Eduardo Bolsonaro, a former federal deputy, recently questioned the reliability of electronic voting machines during a podcast interview. He also suggested that his brother, Flávio Bolsonaro, should leave the country if he loses the upcoming presidential election against Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
