Brazil invests over R$2 million in housing subsidies for families in Campo Grande and Fortaleza

The municipal government of Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, allocated more than R$2 million to the "Bônus Sonho de Morar" program, granting subsidies of up to R$20,000 to 143 low‑income families for the purchase of their first home. Mayor Adriane Lopes highlighted the initiative as a step toward dignified housing, noting that the support helps families move out of rental cycles.

In Fortaleza, Ceará, the federal "Minha Casa, Minha Vida" program has been revived, prompting construction firms to launch new affordable‑housing projects. The sector recorded R$8.8 billion in sales in 2025, the highest in the history of the local construction union, and the program is credited with generating formal jobs across the building‑materials supply chain and related services.
