Brazil job market shows rise in remote work and AI demand

A survey by the job platform Catho reveals significant trends in the Brazilian labor market regarding flexible work arrangements and the integration of artificial intelligence.

Regarding work models, the survey identified 4,036 active hybrid or remote job openings. The finance sector leads with 1,509 opportunities, followed by IT with 659, and Communication and Marketing with 337. While hybrid roles are more prevalent with 3,420 listings, IT leads specifically in 100% remote positions with 290 vacancies.

Additionally, the demand for artificial intelligence skills is expanding beyond the technology sector. Between January and July 2026, AI-related requirements grew in 10 of the 12 sectors analyzed. The legal sector saw a 245% increase in such roles, while Communication and Marketing saw a 200% rise. Administration holds the highest absolute number of AI-requiring vacancies with 714. Notably, the IT sector was the only one to see a decrease, with a 9% drop in AI-related job requirements.
