Brazil knife attacks injure three in Divinópolis and two in Bonfim

A man armed with a knife entered a residence in the Planalto neighbourhood of Divinópolis, Minas Gerais, on Thursday night, stabbing two men and a woman. All three victims were treated by emergency services and taken to the local urgent care unit, where their injuries were classified as non‑life‑threatening. The suspect fled the scene and has not been apprehended.

In a separate incident on Wednesday night, a bar in Bonfim, Roraima, was the site of a stabbing during a dispute. Two men were wounded – one with a deep shoulder cut and the other with an arm injury – and were taken to the state hospital before being released. Police also reported that the attacker escaped before officers arrived and remains at large. Both cases are being investigated as attempted homicides.

Authorities in each city are conducting investigations, reviewing possible security footage and interviewing witnesses to determine motives and locate the perpetrators.
