Aparecida de Goiânia conducts 11th Specialized Health Consultations Mutirão

On Saturday, 25 July 2026, the municipality of Aparecida de Goiânia held its 11th Mutirão of Specialized Health Consultations at the Ambulatório Multiprofissional (Amag) in the Jardim Nova Era district. The event offered 312 pre‑scheduled appointments – 300 medical consultations distributed among orthopedics (160 slots), neuropediatry (60), neurology (60) and rheumatology (20) – plus 12 nutrition services. Organized by the Municipal Health Secretariat under Mayor Leandro Vilela, Health Secretary Alessandro Magalhães and specialist coordinator Iévora Lima, the mutirão aims to shorten waiting lists, speed up diagnoses and improve the efficiency of the public health network.

All patients were previously regulated by the health secretariat; appointments are made after referral from family doctors or primary‑care units. The concentration of multiple specialties in a single day allows quicker assessment and initiation of treatment, a practice that has become a permanent part of the city’s health‑care planning.
