Brazil launches major road projects in Espírito Santo and Goiás
The municipality of Cariacica in Espírito Santo published a tender for a new road corridor linking BR‑262 near the Ceasa area with the East and West avenues. The project, budgeted at R$ 163.2 million, includes macro‑ and micro‑drainage works and pavement improvements and aims to increase traffic flow, reduce congestion and enhance safety for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. The bidding opens on 3 September 2026.
In Goiás, work began on the duplication of the GO‑330 highway between Catalão and Ipameri, a project long demanded by local producers. With an initial investment exceeding R$ 120 million, the duplicated 52‑kilometre stretch is expected to improve road safety, shorten travel times and boost the logistical capacity for the region’s agricultural, livestock and mineral outputs. The construction will generate direct and indirect jobs and forms part of a wider plan to create a fully duplicated corridor from Goiânia to Catalão.
