Brazil Leads Global Crypto Optimism and Readies for Stablecoin Adoption
A new global study by LatAm Intersect found Brazil to have the highest level of optimism toward cryptocurrencies, with about 75% of Brazilian media coverage classified as “expectation”. The research highlighted a diversified interest across privacy, NFTs, trading and emerging ecosystems, and linked the positive outlook to recent regulatory advances by the Central Bank.
At the TokenNation conference, Nicolas Carreiro, COO of Neocoder, said Brazil is well‑positioned for stablecoin adoption, citing the rapid uptake of the instant payment system Pix and the existence of more than 26 million wallets that already move stablecoins or other crypto assets. He noted, “The Brazilian has a facility for adopting new technologies. Pix is one proof of this.” Carreiro added that education remains a key hurdle for broader consumer and merchant acceptance.
