Brazil local initiatives promote environmental education and bee conservation

In Ribeirão Pires, the municipal government conducted environmental education activities for 82 students from Escola Municipal Tia Mariinha. Part of the PEPTA program, the initiative focused on climate, native stingless bees, and Atlantic Forest wildlife preservation near Lago Boa Sorte.

In Arapongas, the ‘Abelha é Vida’ project held its fourth visit to a rural property in Colônia Esperança. The municipal agriculture department installed three PET traps to attract native bees and provided guidance to local producers on the importance of pollinators for food production and environmental conservation.
