Brazil luxury tourism generates R$ 3.34 billion in 2025
The Brazilian luxury tourism sector generated R$ 3.34 billion in 2025, according to the 2026 BLTA Yearbook produced in partnership with Senac. The market showed stability compared to the previous year, with approximately 1 million guests and an average occupancy rate of 50%.
Rio de Janeiro remains the most sought-after destination, cited by 51% of participants, followed by Foz do Iguaçu (40%) and the Pantanal (24%). While 70% of luxury travelers in Brazil are domestic, there is a growing trend of international interest, particularly from Europe and North America.
Key economic indicators show that the average daily rate for surveyed establishments was R$ 3,109. For domestic travel via operators, the average daily ticket reached R$ 16,524, while international itineraries averaged R$ 21,216. The industry is also increasingly focusing on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards, with the BLTA aiming for 100% sustainability certification among its members by 2028.
Additionally, global demographic shifts, such as an aging population, are expected to influence hospitality demand, requiring more inclusive and accessible services.
