Brazil marks Writer's Day with classic literature film list and author café

Brazil commemorated Writer's Day on July 25 with two cultural initiatives. One piece highlighted a curated selection of 33 films that adapt classic works of world literature, ranging from Isabel Allende's *The House of the Spirits* to George Orwell's *Animal Farm* and Roald Dahl's *Charlie and the Chocolate Factory*, underscoring the role of cinema in promoting reading.

In a related event, Fergs Editora organized its inaugural "Café com Autores" on July 11 at the Casa do Espírita Gaúcho. The gathering honored writers for their contributions to Spiritism and literature, featuring conversations, exchanges of experiences, and a video recap of the occasion.
