Brazil men's football team to tour Australia for new cycle
The Brazil men's national football team is beginning a new cycle following their elimination from the 2026 World Cup. Under the leadership of coach Carlo Ancelotti, the team will travel to Australia for a two-match friendly tour as part of the Queensland Football Series 2026.
Brazil is scheduled to face the Socceroos twice within five days. The first match will take place on Friday, September 25, at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, followed by a second match on Tuesday, September 29, at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
With no Copa América scheduled until 2028 and the next World Cup not arriving until 2030, Ancelotti is expected to use these matches to test squad depth and rotate players to evaluate long-term options for the national team.
