Brazil government plans new Unified National Exam for 2027
The Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) is planning a new edition of the Unified National Public Exam (CPNU) for 2027. The government expects to offer up to 3,000 vacancies across various federal agencies.
The implementation of this new exam depends on budgetary approval from the National Congress through the Annual Budget Law (PLOA). The administration aims to establish the CPNU as a permanent selection model, ideally held in regular two-year cycles to unify federal recruitment processes.
In related developments, the MGI has launched a free quota calculator to assist candidates and organizers. This tool helps determine the distribution of vacancies reserved for Black, Indigenous, Quilombola, and persons with disabilities, following updated legislation that increased certain reservation percentages.
