Brazil Ministry of Education releases equity implementation frameworks
Brazil’s Ministry of Education (MEC), through the Secretariat of Continuing Education, Youth and Adult Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion (Secadi), has released the first three Equity Implementation Frameworks. These materials are designed to assist state, municipal, and district education secretariats in improving management processes and implementing policies aimed at reducing inequalities.
The published frameworks focus on financial management and funding for equity, collaboration regimes, and Youth and Adult Education (EJA). Designed for managers and technical teams, the resources provide practical guidance to identify challenges and establish priorities based on the specific needs of each educational network.
The frameworks utilize three primary tools: indicators to identify challenges in educational results and management, self-diagnosis instruments to assess the development stage of current practices, and implementation roadmaps to provide guidance for gradual progress and continuous improvement.
