Brazil Ministry of Management plans 2027 Unified National Exam
The Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) has announced plans for a third edition of the National Unified Public Exam (CNU) in 2027. The ministry estimates the selection process could offer between 2,000 and 3,000 vacancies.
The realization of the exam is contingent upon the National Congress approving the Annual Budget Law (PLOA) and ensuring sufficient fiscal space for new hires. The government aims to establish the CNU, often referred to as the “Enem of Contests,” as a permanent selection policy with regular cycles, ideally occurring every two years.
The unified model was created in 2023 to centralize recruitment for various federal executive agencies, aiming to democratize access, reduce logistical costs, and modernize the public workforce. The ministry noted that the model has also drawn interest from state and municipal governments for potential large-scale partnerships.
