Manaus industrial pole sees surge in motorcycle and electric bicycle production

The Brazilian motorcycle and bicycle industry in the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM) is experiencing significant growth. In September 2026, motorcycle production reached 186,758 units, a 10.4% increase compared to the previous year and the best September result since 2011. For the period of January to September 2026, production totaled 1,645,034 units, marking the highest volume since 2008. Due to this momentum, Abraciclo has raised its annual production forecast to 2.1 million units.

In the bicycle sector, electric models have seen an 85.7% increase in production during the first nine months of 2026, now accounting for nearly 23% of total bicycle manufacturing in Manaus.

Additionally, KTM has inaugurated a new factory in Manaus to produce off-road and street motorcycles, aiming to produce 3,000 units this year and doubling that figure in 2027. While September saw a slight dip in domestic sales and exports, year-to-date registrations have hit record highs, with a 10.5% increase in total vehicle registrations.
