Brazilian classical musician Elisa Fukuda, 74, was held hostage during a home invasion in the Aclimação neighborhood of São Paulo. During the robbery, which lasted approximately three hours, criminals stole two highly valuable Italian violins: one by Guadagnini and a Giuseppe Gagliano featuring 18k gold details. The thieves also took mobile phones, bows, cash, and other belongings, and forced the artist to perform bank transactions.

Fukuda and her brother were unharmed during the incident. The Civil Police are currently investigating the case through the 8th Police District of Brás, and forensic teams have been called to the scene. The artist's team is working to recover the rare instruments.
