Brazil national team call-ups may exclude domestic league players

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) is considering a request for a 'truce' regarding the upcoming national team call-ups scheduled for November. Discussions are underway between the CBF and domestic clubs to reach an agreement that would prevent players competing in Brazil from being called up for the upcoming international window.

The primary concern involves the timing of the players' return, currently set for November 19. This date provides insufficient recovery time before the 36th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, which includes critical matches for title contenders Flamengo and Palmeiras.

Brazil is scheduled to play friendly matches against Japan and Singapore during this FIFA international window. The decision remains pending as the CBF weighs the needs of the national team against the competitive demands of the Brazilian league, Copa do Brasil, and Libertadores.
