Brazil national team announces new friendly match schedule

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has announced a series of international friendly matches as the national team begins its new competitive cycle following the 2026 World Cup. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti is scheduled to announce his first squad of 26 players on September 9 in Rio de Janeiro.

The upcoming schedule includes three matches in September and October: two games against Australia on September 25 and 29, followed by a match against India in Kolkata on October 3. In November, the team will travel to Singapore for two matches against Japan on November 14 and Singapore on November 17.

Ancelotti has indicated that this period is vital for team renewal, with a focus on integrating younger players and observing talent from both domestic and international leagues. The matches serve as preparation for the 2028 Copa América and the 2030 World Cup.
