Brazil negotiates affordable ticket quotas for 2027 Women's World Cup

The Brazilian government is negotiating with FIFA to secure a quota of affordable and social-priced tickets for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup. Sports Minister Paulo Henrique Cordeiro stated that discussions are underway to ensure the tournament is accessible to the broader Brazilian population, who may not have the same socioeconomic status as fans from North America or Europe.

FIFA has begun studies to determine ticket pricing, which may vary based on host cities, stadium capacity, and local demand. The tournament will feature 32 teams, and Salvador is already confirmed as a host city, scheduled to hold seven matches at the Arena Fonte Nova between June 25 and July 12, 2027.

Interest in the event is high, with over 800,000 registrations of interest recorded since July. The government is also working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate tourist entry for the event.
