Brazil notary offices record highest number of bullying evidence filings
Brazilian notary offices recorded a record 153,267 notary acts in 2025, according to data from the Colégio Notarial do Brasil – Conselho Federal (CNB/CF). These documents serve as formal evidence to prove bullying and cyberbullying, including messages, social media posts, and other digital or physical aggressions.
This figure represents a 4% increase from 2024 and a significant 68.2% rise since 2020, when 91,116 acts were recorded. Compared to 2016, the volume has grown by 140%. The increase reflects a growing awareness of the importance of preserving evidence for legal purposes.
Citizens can request these documents in person at notary offices or digitally via the e-Notariado platform. The process allows for the formal description of facts, including dates, times, locations, and the inclusion of audio, video, or images. The e-Not Provas tool specifically assists in capturing and authenticating digital content.
