Brazil offers green energy cooperation to India

Brazil has expressed interest in deepening cooperation with India regarding the transition to green energy. Roberto Carlos Razera Papa, Agricultural Attaché at the Embassy of Brazil in India, stated that Brazil intends to share its decades of experience in developing alternative energy programs, which began in the 1970s, to assist India’s energy shift.

The proposed cooperation aims to balance environmental sustainability with economic and social development. Discussions regarding energy are expected to remain a priority within the BRICS forum.

On the Indian side, Rajnath Ram, an advisor at NITI Aayog, noted that India’s clean mobility strategy will involve a diverse portfolio of technologies rather than a single solution. This approach includes electric vehicles, biofuels, compressed biogas (CBG), and compressed natural gas (CNG) to maximize emission reductions, energy security, and rural livelihoods.
