Brazil office workers advised to use ergonomics and wall exercises to curb tendinitis

Office workers in Brazil are facing rising cases of tendinitis, a repetitive‑strain injury affecting tendons, as they spend long hours at computers and mobile devices. The World Health Organization notes that about one in 100 people develop the condition, and orthopedist Dr. Lúcio Gusmão highlights it as a leading cause of work‑related absenteeism. He recommends regular micro‑breaks, stretching, proper posture, ergonomic desk setups, adequate sleep, hydration, balanced nutrition, and targeted strengthening to prevent inflammation.

Complementary to these measures, simple wall‑based Pilates routines can alleviate back pain for those seated for extended periods. Four easy exercises – wall roll‑down, wall pelvic tilt, wall angels, and the wall window stretch – each take under ten minutes and help improve spinal alignment, relieve tension in the lumbar region, and promote overall muscular balance without the need for equipment.
