Arteris road works expand and adjust across Brazil, including new rest stop, bridge completion and toll review

The concessionaire Arteris cancelled a planned full closure of the BR-376 at km 667 in Guaratuba, Paraná, postponing maintenance until a later date and advising drivers to use an alternative emergency lane at km 671.7.

Arteris Fluminense began construction of a new R$22 million rest‑stop facility for truck drivers on the BR‑101 at km 133 South in Carapebus, Rio de Janeiro, featuring 63 truck bays, power outlets, showers, a cafeteria and 24‑hour surveillance, with completion scheduled for March 2027.

The National Agency of Land Transport (ANTT) approved a request from Autopista Litoral Sul, an Arteris group concession, to consider a toll‑rate adjustment on the Paraná‑Santa Catarina corridor (BR‑376) to compensate for pandemic‑related cost increases; the revision could be applied over a two‑year period.

The National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT) reported that the new bridge over the Rio Aquidauana on the BR‑419 is 95 % complete. Motiva Pantanal started a 15‑day deep‑pavement restoration on the BR‑163 between km 204 and 206 near Caarapó, MS, implementing a 24‑hour “stop‑and‑go’’ traffic regime to upgrade the road’s durability and safety.

Arteris Fluminense also continues a series of widening, pavement recovery and maintenance works on the BR‑101 between Itaboraí and São Gonçalo, urging drivers to reduce speed and follow temporary signage as lane reductions and diversions are introduced.
