Brazil opens Enem PPL registration for incarcerated individuals
Registration for the 2026 Enem PPL (National High School Exam for people deprived of liberty or under socio-educational measures involving deprivation of liberty) will open on October 5 and run until October 23. Applications must be processed through the pedagogical supervisor of the respective correctional or socio-educational unit.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old by the first day of the exams and must not have already completed high school. The pedagogical supervisor is responsible for indicating if the participant intends to use the results to obtain high school certification or a Partial Proficiency Declaration.
Requests for specialized assistance—covering conditions such as visual or hearing impairments, physical disabilities, neurodivergence (ADHD or Autism), diabetes, fibromyalgia, pregnancy, or elderly status—can also be made between October 5 and October 23. Results for these requests will be released on October 30, with an appeal period scheduled for November 2 to November 6.
