Brazil opens EstruturaSUAS system for 2026 social aid; church solidarity fund selects projects

The National Social Assistance Fund (FNAS) announced that the federal EstruturaSUAS platform will open on 10 July 2026, allowing municipalities to submit programming for parliamentary amendment transfers. Key deadlines include final beneficiary indication by 31 July, program submission by 30 August, and any required complements by 11 September, with the full process concluding on 21 September. Managers must ensure compliance with technical requirements such as updated Cadastro Nacional do Suas and proper council approvals to avoid impediments.

Separately, the Archdiocesan Solidarity Fund (FAS) of Florianópolis held its council meeting on 13 July 2026 to approve projects funded by the annual Fraternity Campaign collection. Representatives of the archdiocese reviewed proposals from parish social actions, community movements, solidarity economies and social pastorals, aiming to strengthen local development and community economies through these grants.
