Brazil opens new health centers in Niterói and Senador Canedo

The municipality of Niterói inaugurated a new Family Health Module in the Nova Brasília neighborhood. The modern facility, serving about 6,970 registered residents, includes three medical offices, an odontological clinic, vaccination and wound‑care rooms, and accessibility features. Mayor Rodrigo Neves said, “We are delivering the new Family Doctor unit of Nova Brasília, which now has a curative room, dental office and vaccination room, offering a better structure to serve the population.”

In Senador Canedo, Goiás, the residential area of Boa Esperança received the completed building of a new Basic Health Unit (UBS). The project, part of the federal PAC program, will host reception, waiting, vaccination, maternity, pharmacy and multiple consultation rooms. Mayor Fernando Pellozo highlighted, “We are very happy to deliver this finished work to the people of Boa Esperança, bringing more comfort, dignity and structure for families in the region.” Both openings aim to strengthen primary‑care networks and improve local health services.
