Brazil opens registrations for ENCCO 2026 and CONACON 2026 public‑control conferences

Registrations are now open for the 2026 Encontro Nacional de Corregedorias, Controles Internos e Ouvidorias (ENCCO). The event will take place from 23 to 25 September 2026 in Florianópolis, hosted by the Tribunal de Contas do Estado de Santa Catarina and organized by the Instituto Rui Barbosa. Its theme, “Governança, integridade, participação e controle social: o futuro do controle no Brasil”, will address the integration of macro‑functions of control, the promotion of integrity, greater social participation and preventive practices in public administration.

The 9th Congresso Nacional dos Auditores de Controle Externo (CONACON) also opened registrations. It will be held from 18 to 21 August 2026 in Curitiba, with the opening ceremony at the Ópera de Arame. Organized by the Associação Nacional dos Auditores de Controle Externo dos Tribunais de Contas do Brasil (ANTC) and supported by OAB Paraná, the congress will feature an opening speech by Minister Jorge Oliveira of the Tribunal de Contas da União and a keynote by professor Marçal Justen Filho. Its theme, “Auditoria de Controle Externo que transforma: impacto social e simetria constitucional”, focuses on the role of external audit in improving public management and constitutional balance.
