Brazil police act on child kidnapping attempt in Goiás and illegal minors' fights in Pará

Police in the Brazilian state of Goiás are investigating a possible kidnapping of a 4‑year‑old girl at a bar in Jataí. Security footage showed a 28‑year‑old man forcibly grabbing the child in front of her parents; he was detained by the Military Police but released after giving a statement. The case remains under investigation, with authorities examining whether the incident was an attempted abduction or a violent outburst.

In the Amazonian state of Pará, police arrested a man suspected of organizing clandestine mixed‑martial‑arts fights among children and teenagers in the municipality of Portel, Marajó. The fights were recorded and posted online, exposing the minors to the public. The suspect faces charges of bodily injury, corruption of minors and related offences under the Brazilian Child and Adolescent Statute, and the investigation continues to identify any additional participants.

Both incidents reflect heightened police action against crimes involving children across different regions of Brazil.
