Brazil police arrest drug suspects in Hortolândia and Marabá
Police in the São Paulo municipality of Hortolândia detained a 21‑year‑old man during a patrol of the Jardim Amanda neighborhood. A personal search revealed 25 crack portions, four containers of cocaine, 10 g of crack, 14 g of cocaine and R$ 45 in cash. The suspect admitted to selling the drugs and was taken to the local police station, while a 36‑year‑old male apprehended at the same time was released as a user.
In Pará state, officers in Marabá arrested Michael Douglas Nascimento Costa after a tip led them to a vacant house on Folha 33. They seized ten sachets of marijuana, a portion of cocaine, a precision balance and empty plastic packaging used for drug‑splitting. The suspect was transferred to the 21st Police Civil Section for processing.
