Brazil police arrest drug traffickers in Itajaí and Itamarandiba
In the southern city of Itajaí, the Military Police detained a 21‑year‑old man on drug‑trafficking and disobedience charges after he fled from officers in the Cordeiros neighbourhood. The suspect admitted selling 25 portions of crack for R$50 and was taken to the central police station.
In the Minas Gerais town of Itamarandiba, two suspects were arrested during a police operation at a public square. One man was caught trafficking drugs and a woman was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. Police seized 28 crack‑like stones, four packets of cocaine, a precision scale, a scissors with residue, eight mobile phones, R$62 in cash and three credit cards. Both cases were forwarded to the civil police for further processing.
