Woman Disarms Ex‑Partner After Threatening Assault in Guanambi, Brazil
A 30‑year‑old woman in the Cerâmica district of Guanambi took a .40 caliber pistol from her 32‑year‑old ex‑partner after he entered her home, threatened to kill her and their children, and fired the weapon into the air. The woman secured the gun and fled the scene with the help of police, who arrived around 06:30 following a call to the municipal emergency center. The firearm was seized, its serial numbers erased, and an investigation was opened by the 17th Military Police Battalion. The suspect escaped during the police approach and remains at large; authorities have conducted searches at his residence but have not located him as of the report.
