Brazil police bust criminal networks in Caruaru and Salvador
In Caruaru, Pernambuco, Federal Highway Police detained a justice fugitive and a man with a criminal record after spotting two altered vehicles—a T‑Cross and a Mobi—on BR‑104. The fugitive is wanted for money‑laundering, organized crime and has an open homicide warrant; the other suspect is linked to drug trafficking and a coastal Pernambuco crime gang. One suspect fled but was later identified; the two were taken to the Caruaru Civil Police station.
In Salvador, Bahia, Military Police seized three firearms and recovered a stolen‑registered car in the Caminho das Árvores neighborhood. The driver, who claimed to be a sports shooter, possessed pistols (Beretta, Taurus .380, Arex Delta 9 mm) along with ammunition and other items. The vehicle had a record of theft. The driver was taken to the Central de Flagrantes for legal action.
