Brazil police kill suspects in operations in Minas Gerais and São Paulo

Police in João Monlevade, Minas Gerais, carried out a night raid after intelligence flagged hidden drugs in a pasture area. A 44‑year‑old man approached the officers with a .38 revolver, was shot in the ribs, received medical aid and was arrested. The operation also seized 205 crack stones, cocaine, marijuana, a .38 revolver, ammunition, a precision scale, phones and cash.

In Guarulhos, São Paulo, the ROTA unit pursued suspects linked to an earlier attack on Lieutenant Pimentel. During the approach a suspect identified as Wladimir pointed a weapon and was hit by multiple shots, dying at the scene; a Glock 9 mm pistol with 15 cartridges was recovered. A later encounter in Jardim Lajeado resulted in the death of another suspect, known as Paris, after police reported he pointed a gun.
